Baton Rouge Chapter Scholarship

In 2017, we were able to give our students the scholarship on behalf of the Baton Rouge Chapter. Each student received $250 toward their college tuition.

The Scotlandville Magnet High iDT (Innovation Through Design Thinking) Program held their iDT Showcase and Pitch Competition, sponsored by the Verizon Foundation and Arizona State University. Their theme was "Power to Change my Community", where nine (9) 4-member groups presented their pitch for their mobile app design. The program connected with five (5) local business owners and have each group develop a mobile app that would identify the business problems and finding a solution using a mobile app. This iDT program is for 9th & 10th grade students who are interested in learning different facets of technology  and using it starting their own business and becoming an entrepreneurs.
